Climate
Cape Town boasts a Mediterranean climate. Summer: October to March - warm to hot; Winter: April to September - mild, wet and windy.

Robben Island

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Bouders Beach
Between Simonstown and Cape Point lies a small strip of white sand amongst a few big rocks, home to 3000 African Penguins. Nowhere else will you be able to get so up close and personal to the penguins. |

Whale Season
About 2000 whales make the journey to the South African coast annually, making this an ideal place to spot these gracious creatures. Whale season is from late June to mid November, with the prime viewing spot being in Hermanus.

Spring Wild Flowers
From late July to October the Cape's West Coast offers a spectacular display of Daisies and wild flowers. The West Coast National Park offers incredible viewing at the Postberg nature reserve near Langebaan. |

The Waterfront boasts a fully operational harbour, and visitors can also spend the day cruising in style or visiting Robben Island . There are a number of other shopping malls in Cape Town , including Cavendish Square and Constantia Village in the Southern Suburbs, Tygervalley Centre in the North and Canal Walk on the N1. |
